About

Hi, I’m Princess and I am the founder of Atomic Kitten Services.

As a behavioral health peer, my mission is life is to spread joy, create culturally and linguistically competent community programming, empower peers to manifest a fulfilling and aligned life, and meet peers where they are at using harm reduction, trauma informed care and loving-kindness.

I have a varied background performing essential job duties and tasks ranging from supply chain management, public classroom teaching, and community advocacy in various sectors such as non-profit/community based organizations, public school systems, and publicly and privately owned corporations. Throughout my professional experience I have gained skilled such as efficient nonviolent communication, working collaborative cross-departmentally with internal and external stakeholders, and managing multiple projects in different stages consecutively.

My non-profit management skills include grant writing, community programming, managing and supervising staff, and leading the peer voice in a seven county collaborative funded by California Mental Health Service Act (MHSA). Main tasks included managing peer workgroups (up to 40 people), co-facilitating listening sessions, data collection and reporting to County entities. My community programming has included curating a queer art show “Self-Inqueery” and co-facilitating “The Listening Gallery,” a series of recorded interviews used to advocate at the state level for change in mental health care.

My classroom and direct services include working with individuals across the lifespan identifying as behavioral health needs, mental health differences, chronic houselessness, substance use disorder (SUD) and other cognitive differences. My professional prompt question is, “What am I doing to do my part to help save the world?” I am committed to supporting individuals on their personal journey to live their lives to the best of their abilities; created and directed by them.

My business experience includes managing contract budgets (reimbursements, invoicing with vendors, and tracking quarterly spending), purchasing and procurement (domestic and international vendors), communicating with community members, clinicians, Peer Professionals, City, County, State and Federal employees and providing oversight for a team of myself and two managers and six staff across multiple departments and organizational responsibilities (including one department Director and one Co-Executive Director) in a collaborative department strategic planning process.

I look forward to working with you to do our part to help save the world.

Blessings and abundance,

Princess
